Here's some Burberry and Tom Ford fun!!! These are the first products I've tried from either line, so I'm really excited (if not a bit late to the party)!!
I threw the Tom Ford Lipstick into this post because in the tube it looked similar to one of the Burberry Lip Cover colors. I thought it would be interesting to see how it swatched next to it. This is a long one...grab your popcorn :-)
Burberry Lip Cover Trio: No.01 Nude Beige, No.08 Tea Rose, No.10 Dusty Rose - $72
Burberry Complete Eyeshadow Palette in No.07 Pink Taupe - $59
Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in No.21 Midnight Brown - $29
Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush in No.08 Misty - $42
*All these were purchased from Nordstrom, though it looks like the Lip Cover Trio is out of stock online. But...I only personally bought the quad and received the rest as early Christmas gifts - a special shout out to my awesome Husband, dear friend Maggie and my wonderful parents!!! Thank you guys so much!!!
The Blush and Lip Covers have a scent. They smell like a mix of Sweet Tarts and the old school Violets candy!
From all the reviews I've read the shadows (including the quad palette) are as buttery and soft as everyone has said!! I don't see much difference with the quad texture aside from being a touch less buttery. I've pretty much worn the same few neutral eyeshadows for many years, and am trying to be a bit more adventurous. Not that these are super crazy or anything, but nevertheless very different for me!
* I did edit this post with better eyeshadow swatches and changed the type accordingly :-)
The packaging is gorgeous, with a hefty weight...and of course the signature Burberry pattern.
Blush in Misty, Eye Palette in Pink Taupe, Sheer Eye Shadow in Midnight Brown
Blush in Misty
Eye Palette in Pink Taupe...this is slightly darker and pinker than in real life.

Sheer Eye Shadow in Midnight Brown
Inside, window light. The top 2 colors of the quad have a slight shimmer. I did a lighter swatch of Midnight Brown next to the darkest color of the quad for comparison.
Inside, brighter light. The top 2 colors of the quad have a slight shimmer. I did a lighter swatch of Midnight Brown next to the darkest color of the quad for comparison.
Outside, morning light (around 11am). The top 2 colors of the quad have a slight shimmer. I did a lighter swatch of Midnight Brown next to the darkest color of the quad for comparison.
In the pan Misty looks almost identical to Illamasqua Naked Rose, so I went ahead and swatched them together...they are oh so slightly different. On my skin, Misty seems to swatch a touch more pink. Both seem to have about the same buttery softness, though Naked Rose seems more pigmented. Above taken in low, inside light.
Bright, inside light.
Outside sunlight
Onto the Lip Cover Trio!!! Colors: No.01 Nude Beige, No.08 Tea Rose, No.10 Dusty Rose
Same hefty packaging with the signature pattern. Instead of the cover clicking closed, it's magnetic.
...and here's the Tom Ford Private Blend Lipstick in 03 Casablanca ($48)...beautiful packaging, as expected!
Sorry...I should have taken a side by side of Casablanca and Dusty Rose to show you how close they are...but scroll for swatches!!
Inside, low light. 3 swipes of each color. So the Tom Ford is absolutely very highly pigmented. On my lips Casablanca and Dusty Rose show up as pretty much the same color, with Casablanca being more intense and lasting longer throughout the day.
Inside, bright light. 3 swipes of each color.
Outside, sunlight. 3 swipes of each color.
