Mini Review: YSL Le Tient Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation SPF 19

YSL Le Tient Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation SPF 19

Ok, up front...this foundation irritated my skin. I've learned the hard way that my face does not like the ingredient cyclopentasiloxane (which this contains), and retaliates with irritation bumps sometimes within hours, but most definitely by the end of the day. It's frustrating because soooo many makeup and skincare products contain this ingredient. *sigh*

Anyway...I ended up returning this but wanted to give it a mention because I loved the finish, and it seemed to wear very well the few times I wore it. Oh, and the color B30 was a perfect match for my skintone - I usually don't get this good of a match (or at least haven't yet) with anything but Bobbi Brown foundations (I wear 2.5 Warm Sand)!!

I'd say the coverage was just under medium and slightly buildable. The finish is not quite dewy or glowy, but made me look like I had naturally luminous skin. Most foundations tend to separate around my lower chin around midday, but this did not. It wore really well even after a 10 hour day at work. I did have to do my usual oil blot during the day, but only had to do it once and only had to use one sheet instead of my normal 2 sheets.

Comes in a hefty glass bottle with a pump dispenser.

1/2 pump, top is blended out.

Ugh. I'm REALLY bummed this didn't work for my skin!!!! Good, bad or inbetween...what have been your experiences with this foundation?
