Review: Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream-Stick

Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream-Stick, $27/.42oz @ vichyusa.com and select CVS's. I purchased the color Nude at a CVS.  

I've been wanting to try this ever since I saw it in a Lisa Eldridge video way back when. She loved the coverage and staying power. I can't remember what video it was, but I think she has shown it in more than one. Sad to say I've been disappointed by this product. 

First off, the color range is terrible. FOUR colors. I had a difficult time choosing which to get (ended up with Nude), but all the other colors were either way too light or completely the wrong undertone. This color is a little too dark on me, but sheered out and used as a foundation it's an ok match - not perfect by any means but passable if I am trying to do a quick face and am not super concerned with looking perfect.

Second, I find the consistency hard to work with for spot concealing. It's a bit too creamy and thick to layer in spots where I need more coverage. If I try to sheer it out and layer (either with powder or no), it looks cakey and really emphasizes dry patches or any non-smooth blemishes. If I just sheer it out, it doesn't have good coverage. For spots where I don't need much coverage, it's fine...but then I always run into the issue of color. It doesn't match and is pretty obvious when I try to just spot conceal. 

Third, I don't find this lasts very long. Even after setting with powder, it starts to crack and move around my oily chin and nose after only a couple of hours. I know I said oily, but these days I'm not as oily as I used to be and would classify myself as semi-oily (I blot 1-2 times a day). As something that advertises itself with 12 hours of wear, I expect a bit more! 

Total fail for me. Anyone have different experiences?!!
