I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

Review: Replenix All-trans-Retinol Eye Repair Cream

Replenix All-trans-Retinol Eye Repair Cream, $75/.5oz @

I received a deluxe sample of this from one of the above sites (can't remember which one), and enjoyed it so much I am on my second bottle! Not many samples catch my interest enough to even try them, so this was such a pleasant surprise.

The container has an airless, twist up pump. I've ordered quite a number of Replenix products and none of them has ever come in a box, so don't be alarmed when there is no packaging on your item. With this type of packaging though, it is difficult to gauge how much product is left. What I usually do is order another bottle if I'm still loving an item around the two month mark. This way I can keep using my product and don't have to wait for a replacement to arrive. At least you know air is not going to degrade any of the active ingredients!!

This intensive formula contains All-Trans-Retinol, Green Tea, Peptides, and Arnica to rid your eyes of dark circles, fine lines, and surface wrinkles. Green Tea Polyphenols make up 90% of the formula to provide heavy-duty protection around the delicate eye area and fight free radical damage that causes aging. Peptides increase skin’s firmness and Arnica diminishes bruising and discoloration to erase dark circles. All-Trans-Retinol erases fine lines and wrinkles to create refreshed, revitalized eyes.

I have been applying this only at night and find it is highly hydrating and moisturizing without being greasy or oily. It sinks in very quickly and has between a satin and matte finish. Seems no matter how much product I apply it still sinks in quickly and has the same finish.

The consistency is about medium in thickness compared to other eye creams I've used. The texture is not greasy at all and is very easy to apply. You only need a tiny, round pin head sized amount for your entire eye area - a little less than the drop I show in the picture below.

I apply this onto my upper eyelid area and close to my lower lashes - yes completely inside the orbital bone area, and it does not irritate my eyes at all. Conventional wisdom says not to do this, however I have never felt my eye cream migrates enough to moisturize my eye area properly if I don't use this technique. Would I officially recommend this method? No.

Unofficially though, if you are someone whose eye area is very dry and routinely can't find anything moisturizing enough then I would give it a shot! Word of caution...don't do this during daytime if you wear concealer or any eye makeup on your lower lid. It might make your under eye area too moisturized for product and makeup might melt, crease, smudge, etc. - or just be sure to experiment on a day off from work :-)

I don't have any deep-set wrinkles, but the wrinkles I do have are ones that appear during the day when you are smiling and then disappear at night with the right eye cream. Replenix Eye Repair Cream does exactly that!! By the morning my eyes look completely fresh, supple and ready to start another day!

While I wouldn't say my under eye area is sagging or loose, I do feel that the Replenix keeps the area tightened up. I especially see a difference at times when I haven't slept much - I definitely end up looking less puffy and any bags I would have aren't so noticeable.

Since I'm having a difficult time deciding on a sunscreen I like best for regular use, I don't always use a sunscreen under my eyes - at least for the time being. With this in mind I highly appreciate that this eye cream has 90% green tea polyphenols to help fight free radicals that help cause aging.

I absolutely would recommend the Replenix All-trans-Retinol Eye Repair Cream!! It's just so packed full of goodness and highly effective ingredients...I really cannot say enough how much I love this product :-)
