Tom Ford was one of the Spring 2014 collections I was really looking forward to! I ended up purchasing 2 of the Lip Color Sheers and the Incandescent polish. I absolutely fell in love with Incandescent when I saw Belly post swatch pics, and mentioned it in a Diary post, HERE. The polish is even more beautiful in person and has turned out to be one of my favorite neutral polishes! If you can find it, I'd highly recommend adding it to your collection!

But as far as the Lip Color Sheers, continue on for swatches...

Tom Ford Spring 2014 Lip Color Sheer - In The Buff and Paradiso, $49 @ Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks, Neiman Marcus. Unfortunately, these are Limited Edition, and it looks like Paradiso is sold out online for all 4 stores (so I can't link to that color specifically), but you might try either calling individual stores to have it shipped to you or visit your local counter. I've usually had luck with calling stores, and if they don't have it they are can always check to see if any other locations have what you want.

Being able to capture sunny pictures has been difficult, and for these colors I really felt like they needed sun!! I was able to take pictures in the tube on a partially sunny day, but the swatch pictures ended up looking pretty crappy. I decided to bring them with me on a work trip where I had a layover in Tuscon and it was nice and warm and sunny - finally some decent swatch pics without goosebumps LOL!

Of course I love the packaging...do we even need to talk about that?! :-)

I really like this formula a lot!! It feels super lightweight and very comfortable, yet is moisturizing enough to not make me yearn for lip balm or a gloss. If you are expecting something balmy though, look elsewhere because these don't have that type of cushion or deeper moisture. These have Vitamins C & E, as well as shea butter in the formula. I'd say wear time is about average...a good 3-4ish hours, depending on what I'm doing.

There is no shimmer at all in Paradiso, but there is definitely shimmer in In The Buff. In The shimmer isn't super shimmery though...mainly enough to give your lips and the color itself a bit of ooooompf!

All these swatches turned out a bit warmer than they appear on my lips, even the shade pic. Anyway - I love these colors!!! Paradiso is a perfect punch of bright color without being too in your face. It's fairly sheer with one swipe, but I definitely need at least 2 to get a nice shot of color and 3 swipes to get opaque color. I've also worn Paradiso as a stain with balm on top and it looks just as pretty.

In The Buff ends up looking more slightly bronzy/peachy/nude on my lips. It's been really hard to find a lipstick in the nude category that doesn't make me look like the death, but this one is a great way to start out my collection! It's not THE perfect nude, but I'll take it!! Oh, and you can somewhat feel the shimmers when you glide it on, unlike Paradiso which is smooth.
