***Formally the Gummy Vision blog***

I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

Swatched: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

Does it seem like forever + a day ago when Charlotte Tilbury launched here in the US?!! I almost feel like this post is a TBP - Throw Back Post - LOL! Anyway...late to the party, but here nonetheless...

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow - $65 @ Nordstrom, charlottetilbury.com/us, Net-A-Porter.com

Lots of apologies...for some reason when I took this particular batch of pics I forgot to get packaging pics. Huge fail, but at least I have swatches!! To note the packaging though, I felt like this Filmstar Bronze & Glow has the nicest packaging that is somewhat hefty compared to the compacts on her blush and pressed powder. Those I feel like are pretty flimsy considering the price, but I give them a pass because they are so thin in profile and therefore great for traveling. This Bronze & Glow isn't heavy, but it's definitely got more weight than the other compacts. Plus, I do like the rose gold, and again...this one is very slim in profile, which makes it a great travel companion...plus 2 products in one compact!

The texture is a little on the soft side, but only to the point where it's hinting at creaminess - definitely not soft in a powdery way - for both the Bronze/Sculpt and Glow/Highlight sides. Both apply and blend beautifully. They do have a bit of shimmer, but nothing that seems too much. Though I suppose, you could overdo it if you applied too much. The colors worked really well for me, and each side was right up there with other bronzers and highlighters in my collection.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow comparisons - www.gummyvision.com

Here are some swatch comparisons. Left, outdoor sunlight...right, outdoor shade. All heavily swatched.

Top to Bottom here are the full names of the comparisons:

Chanel Dentelle Precieuse Illuminating Powder

Giorgio Armani LE Belladonna Highlighter

Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight

Charlotte Tilbury Glow/Highlight

Charlotte Tilbury Bronze/Sculpt

Rouge Bunny Rouge At Goldcombe Bay

Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric 400

Burberry Earthy Blush

Despite the fact that I REALLY liked this, borderline loved it...I ended up returning it. I've really been trying to pare down my stash, and I just didn't need another bronzer or highlighter...especially when I hardly wear either one. Ok, exception being in the last couple of months I've been wearing the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter a ton. But my point is I simply couldn't justify keeping it and felt it was still in an acceptable timeframe to return. Buuuuut...I still wanted to get swatches up in case anyone was thinking about getting it!

And in full disclosure, I've actually purged many additional things from the comparison swatches: Chanel Dentelle, Armani Belladonna, KA Candlelight and the Armani Sun Fabric 400. Really tough to let go...but ACK ACK I'm trying to get rid of things I rarely or never use, even if I love them. Go me?!! Ha ha!
