I was excited to be part of my dear friend Gummy’s Skincare Diaries. I would have to say my love for skincare preceded my love for makeup. From an early age I was spotty and my mom treated me to regular facials. I had always ‘fantasized’ that when my wrinkles would come I would leave behind the scourge of bad skin. Alas, this was not to be!
I have oily skin, which is reactive (not sensitive) prone to dehydration and left to its own devises prone to breakouts and blackheads. I have in the last 2 years or so had a big problem with pigmentation. At the moment I am using a prescription from the dermatologist and a cream, but am still looking for a good pigmentation product. I headed off this problem a few years back with a visit to my dermatologist who prescribed, pulse RoAccutance in an extremely low dose. Now I have mildly oily skin so I can actually wear foundation without it totally sliding off and those pesky lumps, whose sole purpose is to hang around my face, scalp and back and look nasty are gone (as long as I take my magic pill). Another bonus of this pill is that I can now use more anti-aging products without it breaking me out or exacerbating my oiliness.
I have a different day and night regime. While the core remains the same I do like to add from different brands, because heck ! I love to try new things.

I love a good mask. The one I have been using lately is the Wei Mud Mask . A very good cleansing clay mask that is non-drying. I am loving my Natura Bisse Tolerance Enzyme Peel. This is the best bi-weekly, cream to liquid peel that makes my skin glow. I have the Omoroviscza Copper Peel for a deeper monthly peel. This makes me want to explore the brands more. Full reviews are coming soon.
I have quite a complicated skincare regime , but with getting older I am trying to hit all the right ingredients -: Vitamin C, peptides, glycolic’-s, DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid and new cutting edge one’s like glutathione. I promise it only takes me five minutes- pinky swear!
