Review: Omorovicza Cleansing Foam

As you may or may not know, Sunday Riley's Ceramic Slip Cleanser (review HERE) has been a favorite of mine for over a year now. I may have even thrown the phrase 'Holy Grail' around when referring to it!! That changed about 2 months ago...

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam, $75/5.2oz @ Sephora, Nordstrom, Omorovicza.comBergdorf Goodman, Blissworld.com

Yep. $75. If you don't want to be tempted by a pricey cleanser then stop reading!!

Speaking of, I'm really annoyed this is $75. Ouch. Really?? I thought $45 for the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip was expensive. Even doing the product swatch to show you the texture hurt LOL! But I'm almost finished with my first tube, and have since purchased 2 more tubes - one during the Sephora VIB sale, and one when the Omorovicza site was having a 20% off sale. Not as bad…but still…ok I'll stop complaining because it's been worth it!!

This comes in a large flat tube. I took a picture of it next to a lipstick tube, to show how big it is…though looking at the picture now it maybe doesn't look so large ha ha! But it real life it seems so.  Anyway, no biggie for normal use, but for travel it's a little cumbersome and does take up a bit of space. For travel, I usually decant it into a 1/2oz airless pump bottle.

This has a light blue color, which is slightly hard to see in pictures unless it's against something white. I think it's the copper? This does have a scent…I'm not sure what it is or how to explain it though…let's just call it the Omorovicza scent because the other 2 Omorovicza products I'm testing out smell the same. It's not floral or fruity…more of a clean smell? I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I don't even notice it.

The consistency is pretty thick…see how it holds its shape? There was one set of directions that said to use an almond sized amount, and another that said to use a pearl sized amount. I use somewhere in the middle. If I use less than that middle amount, then it doesn't make as rich of a foam as I have come to love, and if I use an almond size then I feel like I'm wasting it…but then that's a matter of personal preference, so you'd have to play around to see what you like!

This has a very luxurious, lush, cushy, creamy and dreamy texture. It feels amazing getting smooshed around my face!! I rub it around for as long as I can stand, trying to work all those good ingredients into my skin. Then I remove it with a muslin cloth or baby washcloth.

Here are the standout ingredients, from Sephora:

-Copper Gluconate: Detoxifies and regulates the production of sebum.

-White Lupin: Energizes and revitalizes.

-Apple Pectin: Provides long-lasting hydration and restores suppleness.

-Hydro Mineral Transference™: Leaves skin firmer, more supple, and younger-looking.

Ok, so I'm utterly impressed with how good this feels on my skin!! I'm also equally impressed at how effective, yet gentle it is. Since I started using this I've completely stopped using my gentle cleansing options (HERE), and I've lost all interest in Ceramic Slip. In fact, I put my backup bottle of Ceramic Slip into the blog sale!!

This doesn't even remotely dry me out, yet it still removes my daily oil buildup and makeup (though I don't use it to remove eye makeup nor physical sunscreen). My skin feels so nice and GOOD and normal after rinsing and drying off. And in more intangible terms, I feel my face looks brighter and more even in tone since I first started using it.

Have I sold you yet?? Probably not. Maybe? I don't know how to rave about this cleanser without sounding like a madwoman, because really…how much can you say about a cleanser anyway?!! I wish I knew how to wax poetic about a product because if anything I've tried lately deserves it, this one absolutely does. I'm just saying something had to be REALLY REALLY good to get me to stop using Ceramic slip…and every other cleanser for that matter...

Since I can't put into words how I really feel about this cleanser, I'm going to let this video do it for me…it doesn't specifically show the cleanser, but is for Omorovicza and still evokes the same feeling ha ha :-)

At $75, I can't really say this is a must have, or that you should even try it. What I can say is that I love it, and it is a bonafide HG for me right now!! If you would like to try it, now would be a good time since the Sephora VIB sale ends tomorrow. Either that or make sure to purchase from a place that has a good return policy. Also, the Omorovicza site has a nice little beauty reward program, where you can earn points and redeem them for product!
