As mentioned, HERE, one of my friends brought back some Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets from Europe for me. I couldn't decide on just a few colors, so I asked for quite a lot since they were a lot less than I normally pay for lipsticks. I've had awhile to play with them, and here are my thoughts! 

I've always been drawn to Bite Beauty lip products, and have tried out quite a lot since the brand launched. Here are the colors that have managed to stay in my collection!

Though I don't wear lipstick a ton, I do try to wear liner with anything that's not more sheer/balmy. Often I opt for a clear liner, simply because it's easy...but since last Fall I've found a closely matching liner actually seems to work better (it's easier to create my lip shape with a liner and then fill in vs. using a clear liner and then using the lipstick bullet to shape). Here are the non-clear lip liners that are currently in my stash...

As Fall was approaching, I was on the hunt for dark lip colors to wear. I didn't want berry colors necessarily, but more vampy and uber dark, deep colors. This Chanel one looked like it might fit the bill! 

When the Armani Ecstasy Lacquers popped up on the Nordstrom site, they immediately caught my attention...admittedly for the packaging because they look so darn sleek!! Then I read the description and placed an order. 

I've been in slightly less of a lipstick mood, and have wanted to venture into glosses again. I used to have a lot more, but my gloss stash is so tiny that I feel as though there are only a few that I end up wearing over and over: Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil, Burberry Lip Glow in Trench Kiss (from last Holiday?) and the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Seduction. When these new Burberry formulas became available on Sephora, I went ahead and placed an order. 

I've always struggled to find a good nude lipstick. You know...one that doesn't make me look dead, yet doesn't give me Barbie lips. Every now and again, I'll see one that looks interesting, and inevitably not like it and give up hope - deciding instead I'm better off just wearing lip balm!
