Aaaaaaah Viseart...

This was OOS on Sephora forever, and when it finally came back in stock I made the purchase even though it was right before the last sale (I was afraid it'd be gone again before I could get it on sale!). Lemme say...I'm very happy with this new palette!!

Viseart Eyeshadow Palette In 01 Neutral Matte, $80

As a sidenote, I didn't mess with editing these too much to get the background more white - when I tried it just made the colors all wrong.

This palette is everything I was hoping it would be and more. The shades are so amazingly smooth and blend just as easily...I'd venture to say the colors actually blend a slight bit better than the Rouge Bunny Rouge mattes. I wouldn't say these are necessarily creamy or buttery to the touch like the RBR's, but they are SILKY and amazingly smooth...it's really more than I can describe and you have to experience them for yourself. And somehow the finish on these is beautiful and a little different than other mattes I've tried...more like a natural finish vs. a straight up flat matte finish. Sounds weird to say for an eyeshadow, but that's what it seems like!

The case is smaller than I was expecting. I can easily hold it in one hand, but the case is very sturdy and I have no qualms about traveling with it.

Ok, did you notice in some of the pictures that there seem to be random sparkley things?? I don't notice them once applied, but I think that's part of what makes these mattes so special...they are matte, yes, but they have a little something extra that makes you go OOOOOH!!!

Indoors. These are all heavily swatched to show variation in color, especially for the top row of shades.

All the colors seem to be well pigmented except for the bottom right 3 swatches - black, grey, mauve/brown (bottom left row in the palette). They still have the same silky smooth texture and blendability, they just aren't as intense as I expected from how all the other colors apply.

This is one palette that I think is very well deserving of all the raves and excellent reviews!! Before trying it I kinda thought, eh how much different or better can these shadows be than what I've already got??? I was proven wrong! These are fantastic shadows, for matte or otherwise, and I definitely wouldn't mind owning more Viseart shadow palettes!!!
