My friend, Maggie, has been talking about the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned for quite awhile now. She's a Stewardess also, and recently we worked a trip together...lo and behold we found ourselves in a Sephora on a layover!! I finally swatched the Damned pencil LOL and liked the color enough to buy it! I also swatched a YSL lippie that I had seen in a video & decided that was really nice too😉

While I liked both colors in the tube, I wasn't blown away with either product when actually worn. Nothing I can specifically put my finger on, except to say I wasn't loving either one. They were pretty, but kind of meh at the same time.

Then I tried them together...because...you know, they're practically the same color!

Suddenly, as a pair, they both had the little bit of pow needed for me to say, OOOOOH!!! Together they are that much more rich, intense & make for a really beautiful Winter combo!!! Plus, the YSL gives the NARS pencil a bit of hydration, and the pencil gives the YSL greater staying power!
