Chanel Les 4 Ombres, Quadra Eye Shadow in 39 Raffinement - $59 at Nordstrom, Macy's, Saks and other Chanel counters

This was purely a MakeupAlley influenced purchase!! I had been really disappointed with the Chanel Quad in Prelude so was looking for something so Chanel could redeem itself! Everyone on the Makeup Board kept saying this quad had much better texture and such than other Chanel quads, so I jumped on the band wagon and picked one up!!

Oooooooh...pretty velvet pouch...aaaaahhhhh...

Actually I really do love when compacts come in pouches!! I'm such a freak about keeping things looking nice, and I appreciate any help I can get. It kind of drives me a bit batty when things get scratches and all mucked up. LOL :-)

Oh, wow...the color and pigmentation is so much better than Prelude!!

In a nutshell...I like this quad...a lot!!! It's smooth, pigmented and great neutral (but not dull) colors!! I been having fun mixing the colors with each other as well as with colors from other brands. Especially when traveling, I can throw this along with maybe 2 other singles and I am more than good to go!! This is actually a quad where I can see myself hitting pan :-) I'll let the swatches speak for themselves...

Inside window light.

The darkest shade at the bottom is matte, the others all have slight shimmer. The top and bottom shades swatched a bit uneven, but that has nothing to do with the texture. I'm still learning the best way to do swatches and well...I'm still learning!! Ha ha :-) Regardless, I do find this quad smooth.
