***Formally the Gummy Vision blog***

I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

Swatched: By Terry Gloss Terrybly Shine in Pink Lover and By Terry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge in Baby Bloom

Here are a couple of the products I purchased for the special By Terry / Lola @ Lola's Secret Beauty Blog / SpaceNK GWP (details HERE)!!

By Terry Gloss Terrybly Shine in Pink Lover, $44/.23oz @ Barneys, beauty.com, beautybar.com, SpaceNK

By Terry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge in Baby Bloom, $35/.10 @ Barneys, beauty.com, beautybar.com, SpaceNK

By Terry Gloss Terrybly Shine in Pink Lover...I think the packaging is gorgeous! Love the By Terry name criss-crossing on the lid :-)

This is just the right kind of juicy, punchy pink gloss that is perfect for Spring and Summer. It provides a nice pop of color that isn't too bright and in your face, and it also layers well with other lip colors! It does have shimmer, but the shimmer is subtle.

The formula is very comfortable to wear, not too sticky (well for a gloss anyway!) and seems to last quite awhile. I can get a good 3 hours of wear time when at work and talking all the time...a bit longer during a normal day. As far as formula, this is one of the best glosses I've tried. Formula-wise I'd put it up there with the Chantecaille Luminous Gloss (reviewed HERE), though I still like the Chantecaille better :-)

This is supposed to be anti-aging, plumping and firming. I think those claims are difficult to see without long-term use, and you sort of have to take it on faith that it might be more beneficial than using say plain ol' Vasoline. But By Terry products are all meant to have skincare benefits, no matter the product. All this to say that I didn't see any immediate benefits, but might with time.

As much as I tried to love this gloss completely and without reservations...ugh...I just couldn't do it!! Notice where I kept writing about the FORMULA?!! Yes, the formula rocks and if it wasn't for this one thing I would get more. What's the one thing?? That trademark By Terry fragrance. It's exactly why I purged a mostly full container of By Terry Baume de Rose. This particular scent simply doesn't agree with me, and I think for future By Terry purchases I need to make sure to sniff in person before committing. Extremely unfortunate because I do really love the color and formula and could otherwise see myself finishing the tube. But aren't scents a strange thing...because I absolutely love the Guerlain and Burberry fragrances!!!

By Terry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge in Baby Bloom

I do not like this product at all, and that's not even talking about the color. I don't find the formula even remotely close to being as moisturizing as the name would imply. I think this is a bit waxy and doesn't feel luxurious as I would expect from the By Terry name and the price tag. I would save your money and go for one of the other sheer, balmy lippies that are actually sheer, balmy and more importantly moisturizing!!!

Beautiful color in the tube and beautiful color swatched below!!! Bummer this gives me Barbie doll lips...you know...where my lips look fake and plastic-y pink. It's somewhat remedied by layering, BUT I've given up as I cannot stand the fragrance and don't like the formula.

If you do like the By Terry fragrance I would highly recommend the Gloss Terrybly Shine, but would stay away from the Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge. What have been your experiences??
