Thought I'd open this with a gratuitous dessert pic that speaks for itself. No particular reason...just because! Ha ha!
Onto the tag!!
The wonderful and always thoughtful Ms. Bellyhead of Wondegondigo (HERE) tagged me with some fun questions! This is the first tag I've done, so please be gentle! BTW, if you haven't checked out her blog before...DO IT NOW!!! I love the way she writes, and her reviews are so thorough. Oh, and fantastic pictures to boot! She's one of my favorite recent blog finds :-)
Drumroll, please...
What is your dream job?
Dream job would be a pro tennis player, where I could whip Serena Williams' racket into submission with my eyes closed. I'd even have the men whimpering. It's funny though because I don't even play tennis!!! There's just something so graceful and strong about the sport...I've always been drawn to it.
Are you a baker or a cook?
I'm more of a baker, but mainly because my Husband loves to cook and he doesn't like the types of food I like to make! Ha ha! So I do more of the baking, though he still does quite a bit...he makes the best darn chocolate chip cookies you'll ever have. EVER.
On your beauty journey, have you noticed any changes in your preferences in any way?
Over the past several years I've gotten more and more interested in textures and how a product feels on my skin. Before I would just kinda slap something on. As long as my face looked good I was fine! Not now. No way. LOL :-)
In your refrigerator, what is always in there?
Stadium Mustard (available in Ohio or on Amazon - if you are a mustard lover you have to try it!!!). Ketchup. Soy Sauce. Tobasco. Butter. Pepsi. Shredded cheese. Eggs. Chocolate chips for baking.
You crave for sweets or savory and what was your last intense craving?
I used to have a crazy mean sweet tooth. It was so bad that sometimes when I would go home and my Stepmom would make my favorite cherry pie, I'd eat that for breakfast with a big ol' heapin' helpin' of fresh whipped cream. Over the past year and a half though, my sweet tooth has pretty much gone to maybe a 3 on a scale of 1-10. I'll eat sweets if they are there, but I don't really have those hardcore cravings anymore. And if I do eat something sweet I usually want something not too rich, like a sugar cookie.
That said I don't really have savory cravings anymore either. What's wrong with me?!!!! I've been at a point for awhile where nothing sounds amazing. Eh, so weird. But I guess the last thing I semi craved was the Turkey Club Sandwich and tomato soup from Nordstrom Cafe.
Last gift you gave?
I think it was to my Husband...a little plastic pouch with a carabiner on it that you can use for traveling. It was from REI and we both love pretty much anything from there. Plus he's a sucker for anything with a carabiner attached. We often give each other little gifts like that :-)
Last gift received?
Just the other day my Husband gave me a super cute hoodie! I loved it because it was fitted and also very warm. And it had contrast stitching, which is a detail I really like! Unfortunately it was too short in the arms so we had to return it. BTW, it was from a site called Steep and Cheap. If you or anyone in your life is into outdoor gear and haven't already heard about it, CHECK IT OUT!!! They have great deals all the time!!
What is your current beauty item that is welling up into an uncontrollable urge?
Suqqu brushes. I totally blame Ms. Bellyhead.
At what age have you gotten your first white hair?
Early 20's...20 or 21? It started growing in blonde first, which was really weird. It didn't turn white/grey until a few years later!! From about my mid 20's I had a few more, and they were so stark against my hair that whenever I wore it up, people would always ask if I had paint in my hair.
What is the last horror movie you've watched?
EW. I don't watch horror movies. I hate watching anything scary. I won't even watch CSI by myself. If I'm watching a suspenseful movie with someone I always cover my eyes when a potentially scary scene pops up. Seriously...if any of you remember that old HBO special about the Elephant Man...I saw that when I was little and it bothered me until I was well into my late teens. Up until I was confident in voicing my opinion about hating scary movies I had watched a handful. Well...not really watched as my eyes were covered a majority of the time. But the last movie I can remember 1/2 watching was maybe the first Saw movie?
What is a holy grail beauty product that you've discovered?
Oh, geez...how can you even ask this?????? LOL!!
