Mario Badescu Hydro Moisturizer with Vitamin C, $18/2oz @ mariobadescu.com, Blue Mercury
This is one of the Mario Badescu moisturizers that I have not seen in a store, so when I was in a Blue Mercury for the first time I was intrigued and wanted to try it out! This moisturizer is affordable, relatively simple and has a small ingredient list. Here are the ingredients:
Deionized Water,Propylene Glycol,Carnation Oil,Squalene,Isopropyl Myristate,Glyceryl Stearate,Myristyl Lactate,Cetyl Alcohol, Ascorbic Acid,Cetrimonium Bromide,Methylparaben,Stearic Acid,Propylparaben
The texture is more on the lotion side, but you don't need much to cover your entire face and neck. I imagine this bottle would last 2-3 months of day and night use...much longer with just day use. I really like that this has vitamin C, which helps boost daytime SPF. For a lotion it's actually quite moisturizing, yet I could lightly pat it over my oily areas without seeing any increase in oil production (yay!!).
Despite the small ingredient list, anyone prone to clogs might have problems with a few of the ingredients, so do be cautious if this applies to you. For reference, I'm highly clog prone and started seeing clogs around week 2. You might ask why I tried this if I'm clog prone...I'm still working out what does/doesn't clog me, and only recently learned (for example) that cetyl alcohol can be a problem.
...for non-clog prones though, I think this is a great, simple moisturizer with the added benefit of Vitamin C!
