#JuneSampleMonth Recap
At the beginning of June, I decided to join Bronzer Bunny, Jules Darling and Techno Cupcake for a use-it-up-clean-it-out month of using samples. How did I do for #JuneSampleMonth?
Here are the samples I used up completely.
I actually really liked the Fekkai shampoo/conditioner packets and liked the Glossing (green) pair enough to purchase a larger size! I decided to stick with smaller versions, and opted to for the 2oz just in case I changed my mind - at least there wouldn't be a huge bottle that I'd to suffer through finishing ha ha! From the sample pack it did make my hair shiny and soft, but didn't feel weighed down.
Absolutely loved the Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream which lasted a good 3 weeks - I decanted into a small sample jar and I didn't need much per use since I layered it underneath my heavier eye cream. Didn't feel heavy, yet substantial enough to wear alone if you have a normal under eye area. When layered it definitely gave my favorite Sunday Riley Start Over Active Eye Cream a run for its money. Buuuuuut...at over 3x the price of Sunday Riley I'm not sure it was THAT significantly more effective?? Think I'll hoard anymore samples I mange to score instead :-)
I already purchased a full size of the Omorovicza Gentle Buffing Cleanser after trying a sample, so was pretty happy to use this sample up too. Other than that, nothing more to note as either it didn't hit me right away, or there wasn't enough to form much of an opinion.
Here are the samples I tried but didn't finish.
Definitely liked the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish better than the Sara Happ, as it has a much less crumbly texture so it stays on my lips much better. But I still don't think it does as good of a job as a washcloth in the shower. Nice little treat, but I'm just not into it.
Didn't like either of the Armani eye serums - thought they felt too silicone-y. The Dr. Dennis Gross ferulic serum thingy left my face with a reaction that took several days and generous applications of cortisone cream to clear up. Didn't like the Lancer or Radical eye creams either...oops can't remember why and unfortunately seemed to have misplaced my notes...I'm sorry! The Sisley Eye and Makeup Remover was not that great...stung my eyes and wasn't all that effective at removing makeup. Very strange for something that is marketed as and Eye and Makeup Remover!!
Overall, I managed to use up or try 16 samples!! I also put 6 samples I didn't use into the purge pile, and threw out a handful of old, deluxe sized ones that I had partially used. I'm very happy with the results, and am hoping to continue the trend into July! I'm not officially declaring another sample month, but will instead post my progress in the next Empties post...
You can catch Julie's #JuneSampleMonth Recap HERE, and I'll post links to the other ladies' posts as they are published :-)
