First Time With Net-A-Porter

Last week, I saw a tweet mentioning you could win a $33k shopping spree to Net-A-Porter so I went to the site to see what the details were. To immediately enter, you had to submit a new tagline to Porter magazine and subscribe (you could submit a subscription-less entry, but that required the normal amount of runaround and time). I had been thinking about a subscription anyway, and thought this was a fun way to get introduced to the magazine. Plus, that happened to be the last day you could sign up for a subscription that would include the second issue. Mr. G helped me brainstorm a tagline...then I entered the contest and subscribed!

Since the subscription didn't include the very first issue of Porter, I wanted to go ahead and order it from the site. I felt a little silly just ordering the magazine, so I explored the beauty section to see what else I might like to buy. I discovered they have a few things I've wanted to try, one of those things being the Lucas Papaw Ointment...and also found they sell Burberry! Ultimately, I decided on the LE Net-A-Porter Glossybox.

Upon checkout, I chose the free gift wrap since it was close to my birthday...ok, ok I was also really curious to see how this luxury site would measure up in terms of packaging since it was my first time shopping there!! I absolutely was not disappointed, and wanted to share my delight in the presentation and also the goodies in the Glossybox!

***All items purchased by me. Some shopping links are affiliated.***

I was amazed at the lightening fast service...this was shipped via Fedex and I had it within 2 days. After opening the main shipping box, I found these 2 items inside.

The gift wrap box is beautiful, with subtle Net-A-Porter logo markings on the box and the ribbon.

The little pouch contained a measuring tape and measuring instructions for future sizing purposes.

Instructions on how to take your measurements!

Lifting the lid on the gift box I found the Porter magazine.

Underneath the Porter magazine packaging was the Glossybox...note how this packaging echoes the main gift packaging.

Yay!!! Finally have the first issue in my grubby little hands ha ha!!

And here's the Net-A-Porter Glossybox!! I remember when this was launched...Bronzer Bunny and I had talked about getting it, but neither of us pulled the trigger. I was actually surprised and excited it was still available!

Underneath the lid.

Sticker and tissue paper details...love!

This is the part where I was slightly taken aback. After all the pretty packaging, I found this big blob of plastic. I appreciate that care was taken so nothing was broken, but I do think they could have done something else to make the inside of the box more appealing. But the goodies inside more than make up for it...

Ta daaaaaaa!!! This includes 3 full size items, 2 travel size items and several deluxe samples.

Full size items: Kevyn Aucoin Eye Shadow Duo 206, Ellis Faas Mascara in E401 Black, RGB Cuticle Oil

Travel size items: Avene Thermal Spring Water, Klorane Dry Shampoo

Deluxe sample size items: Natura Bisse Diamond White SPF50+++ Oil-free Brilliant Sun Protection, Philip B. Oud Royal Gravity-Defying Gel, Joya roll on parfum

This Glossybox is $40, which might seem pricey for a beauty box...BUT considering the Kevyn Aucoin shadow is $42 and the Ellis Faas mascara is $34, this is a really good deal!! Overall I'm super happy with my first Net-A-Porter purchase, and can't wait to dig into the magazine and to test out the Glossybox goodies :-)
