Project Make-A-Dent: Makeup, Vol. I

Lola over @ Lola's Secret Beauty Blog, started a series called Project Make-A-Dent in order to try to use up a select group of products. She said, "The goal is to use them up completely, but not at the exclusion of using other things'. She posted an update, which you can view HERE. In less than 3 months, Lola indeed made quite a dent in many of the products - fantastic job!!!!

Lola invited anyone who was ready to dive into their makeup collection to join her in the Project Make-A-Dent quest. Soooooo…I thought I'd finally join!! Here are my choices!

EDITED: Others have joined in on the fun!!! Catch Joyce @ Bronzer Bunny's Project Make-A-Dent post HERE, Monika @ Rocaille Writes post HERE and Carina @ Softly Sometimes post HERE!!

***Each item either purchased by me, is a sample obtained with purchase, or a gift. Non-affiliate links included.***

Chantecaille Luminous Gloss in Pink Melon - chose this because it's at least 1/2 empty, and it would be nice to finish a gloss this year! Though it is my favorite gloss formula in my collection, I find I don't reach for it as much since getting the Burberry Lip Glow in Trench Kiss - I just prefer the Trench Kiss color!

Chanel Rouge Coco in Culte and Avant Garde - I love these colors, but they aren't my favorite formula of lipsticks in the bunch. Think I can find similar colors in a nicer formula, but I'd like to try to finish these or make a very sizable dent in them before searching for replacements.

Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Pale Barley - I haven't even touched this yet and also have a backup LOL! If i'm ever to get to the backup I should probably start on this one, right? I don't anticipate fully using this up this year, but it I'd like to at least get a start???

Hourglass mini lippie - I don't think I've ever finished a mini lip product, so this will hopefully be the token to say that I did it at least once.

I chose mainly lip products because I'm trying to sort through the lip stash to see what I really use and what I don't. The plan overall (meaning beyond Project Make-A-Dent) is to empty as many lip products as possible and not repurchase the same lippie unless I miss it after awhile.

How about you?? Are you up for a Project Make-A-Dent?!! If you do, please let us know and add #ProjectMakeADent (or #projectmakeadent - same thing!) to your Twitter and Instagram posts! You can follow Lola on Twitter @lolassecret

I'll update in a few months!!
