Swatched: Tom Ford Eye Defining Pencil in Espresso
I've wanted the Tom Ford Eye Definer in Espresso ever since seeing it on Belly's blog this Spring (HERE). While I've had Tom Ford makeup brushes since the beginning of the year, for some reason it's taken until the release of the Fall collection to finally dive into the colors. I went ahead and ordered this along with a few Fall items!

Tom Ford Eye Defining Pencil in Espresso, $36/.04oz @ Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman
The packaging is sleek and beautiful, even for an eye pencil :-)
It comes with a little sharpener. This isn't a typical cheapie sharpener that's usually included with other pencil products. This one feels more substantial and as though it will last for awhile.
I haven't owned very many eye pencils, but this is one of the smoothest I've used. It glides on with ease, including my one eyelid that is a little bumpy ha ha! Even for the sake of makeup science I won't use any kind of liner product (pencil or shadow) without primer because I have super oily Asian monolid eyes. But with primer this lasts through the majority of the day without creasing. This is smudge-able without being messy, yet can create a clean line if so desired.
What I really love about this pencil is the color. It's saturated and rich, and about as gorgeous as a brown (I mean espresso!!) can get - makes me wonder why I waited so long!
On the left is outside sunshine, on the right is outside shade.
I can see this becoming a staple, and it has taken up residence in my makeup bag since first swatching!! Which color should I try next...any recommendations?
