Swatched: Tom Ford Fall 2013 - In The Pink, She Wolf, Orchid Haze

As soon as I saw the first images trickling out for Tom Ford Fall I knew I wanted something. Anything. The shadow trios especially caught my eye!!

**All items purchased by me. Non-affiliate links included.**

Tom Ford In the Pink & She Wolf trios LE, each $60/.16oz...Orchid Haze eyeshadow quad $78/.35oz @ Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman

There's no denying the stunning Tom Ford packaging...right down to the sueded pouch included and shown below...

This was taken indoors with daylight bulbs, but look quite different when out in actual sunlight. Scroll on for pictures!

In The Pink

The texture of this and She Wolf are both very smooth, soft and verging on buttery. They apply beautifully, except for the glitter shade. This particular trio I don't find that pigmented but I think it has more to do with the particular colors than with any perceived quality issues. I'm not a fan of the glitter, and I just can't seem to make it work to my liking (read: very subtle). The other 2 colors barely show up on my lids. As a base for other colors, for example She Wolf, the 2 colors work very nicely. On their own...eh...they just don't do much for me, and I prefer other colors if I'm going to do a no-makeup eye.

I bought this against my better judgement - early reviews said this didn't show up well once applied. For whatever reason, I wanted it anyway...but if I had to do it over again, I would skip this.

These are all heavily swatched and do not come out like this on my lids. Shade-wise on my lids they probably look closest to the swatches taken in outdoor shade, though much much more sheer.

She Wolf

Same beautiful and lovely texture as In The Pink, and is a joy to apply. The difference between In The Pink and She Wolf is that I absolutely love She Wolf!! These are colors that were missing from my collection, and I am a little taken with the somewhat chameleon-like qualities. Whether I want to do a simple eye or a stepped up smokey eye, this can manage it all. My only gripe is the glitter shade. Like In The Pink I haven't been able to make this even remotely subtle, and I seem to get fallout whether lightly applied with a brush or patted with my finger. Maybe I just need practice?? Considering I'm not really using the glitter in either this or In The Pink, both are really pricey for 2 shadows...what's wrong with making a duo???

Anyway!! I bought a backup of this already since it's limited edition and I love the colors so much!! I probably jumped the gun a bit, but that whole LE + loving the colors so much kept nagging at me and again...I couldn't help myself :-(  Ha ha!!

These are also swatched heavily, but the intensity of color is more accurate on these swatches is closer to how they appear on my eye when applied heavily vs. with In The Pink I cannot achieve the same kind of intensity as the swatches no matter how much I apply.  The color on my lids appears closest to how it appears in the swatches taken in low indoor light. The last picture that's more blurry and angled I took to show that the second color has a bit more shimmer than appears in the other swatch pics.

Orchid Haze

I'm in definite lust with this quad and have been wearing it almost nonstop for the past couple of weeks. The texture is the same as the trios...soft...super smooth...almost buttery...and applies beautifully. The darkest shade is matte and is a bit drier in texture than the other 3 colors, but for a liner shade I actually think it's one of the smoother ones I've tried. And oh, these colors...just happy happy joy joy!!!  Most of all I am thrilled that I am able to use ALL 4 shades!! I love them :-)  I'm very glad this is permanent, otherwise I definitely would've bought a backup of this one too!!

These are heavily swatched as well, but they certainly can be built up to this on my eyes and they can be sheered out as much as I want them to be. On my eyes these colors appear as a mix of the indoor low light and outdoor sunlight swatches.

What say you...have you caught the Tom Ford Fall bug yet?!!
