Burberry GWP - From Nordstrom, January 2013

Forgot to show you this Burberry GWP I received back in January!!! It contained:

2 mini Burberry Lip Velvets in 303 Antique Pink (think they were supposed to be different colors?) - gave one away since there were 2

Burberry Lip Glow in 10 Nutmeg

Mini Burberry Body fragrance

The little square cube is something my local Burberry SA gave me with one of my earlier purchases. It's called Beauty Glow, Multi-Usage Highlighter/Illuminator. No color name given and not in the regular lineup of products. Though it says it's a highlighter/illuminator (even the box says so!), it looks suspiciously like the little lip gloss charm that was on that tassel thingy for the last Holiday collection.

The GWP also came with this little embossed cosmetic case...

Things always seem to swatch warmer on my skin, and definitely warmer on my face!! These colors are no exception! These were taken with daylight bulbs. I did take sunny outdoor pics, but they turned out even warmer than these did and really looked nothing like what was in the tubes!! I'm not so crazy about the color Antique Rose, but layered with Nutmeg Lip Glow it's wearable :-)

I find the Lip Velvet formula very comfortable to wear - not moisturizing like a balm or anything, but not drying at all and does not feel heavy.

The Nutmeg Lip Glow I really like, though I wish it had a smidge more pink in it. When I went to the Burberry Flagship, I asked the SA what she thought would be a good choice since I wanted more pink. She suggested 01 Rosewood Lip Glow. I purchased it and couldn't be happier!! I will absolutely use the Nutmeg, but probably won't purchase it since it's not exactly what I was hoping for and especially since Rosewood is!!!  In the Lip Glow I could do without the fragrance, but it's not a deal breaker as it dissipates after a few minutes. I find the formula very moisturizing, not very sticky and feels really good and soothing!

Here's the Beauty Glow, Multi-Usage Highlighter/Illuminator. It swatches a little more coral/peachy on my skin than it appears in the container. The texture is quite tacky and heavy, and reminds me more of a lip stain/cheek tint combo. And given the color...seriously...how is this called a highlighter/illuminator???? Anyway, I tried using this on my cheeks and found it was very difficult to blend out. On my lips as a stain it's ok, but again...difficult to blend. Much as I hate to say I don't like a Burberry product, I'd say this is a definite 'miss' for me.

Nordstrom is supposed to have another Burberry GWP in March during your local Nordstrom Spring Trend Show. I think tickets are usually $15, and the $15 is good towards any purchase!! Call your Nordstrom to find out what your dates are!!!

Have you had any fun Burberry GWP's??
