Maggie and I went to Nordstrom tonight to have dinner, catch up and to check out the beauty counters!!! I went to get the Chanel Illuminating Powder from the Spring 2013 Collection (I swatched it around Christmas and wanted it - Becca @ The Beauty Sample gave me a shove with her review - HERE), Sweet Beige Glossimer and to ask when the Burberry Spring 2013 Collection would arrive. 

WHOA to my surprise when I walked up...Cosette @ the Burberry counter said she had just received the Spring Collection and was unboxing it!! She was super sweet and apologized for not having any testers yet, but was excited to show me all the new goodies :-)  I couldn't believe the luck!! But in my state of shock and awe I forgot to take pics of what she brought out. We'll have to make do with what I decided upon instead. I just couldn't wait to show you guys!

Supposedly the Lip Glow in No. 20 Pink Sweet Pea is limited edition.

She showed me 1 new Sheer Eye Shadow (which wasn't in the promo ads), 2 Light Glow Natural Blushes and 3 new Lip Glows - they were missing one more. The Sheer Eye Shadow I knew I wanted right away - it had just the right slight hint of gold that I've been looking for. It was a bit difficult not being able to swatch the blush and gloss colors, so decided to go with what will *hopefully* look best with my coloring. Oh, and I did end up purchasing another Light Glow blush (No. 7 Earthy) but will save that for another time to focus on Spring!

The only thing that was slightly buggy that I didn't notice until I started taking pictures was that the compacts have a weird rainbow effect on the finish. Both these compacts and the Earthy blush have it, but I checked the compacts I got last month and they don't have it. I wonder if something is off with just these batches? I certainly hope it's not permanent!! Tried many different angles to hide it, but there was no getting around the rainbow. Ho hum. Oh, well. Maybe it's a good thing for you to see so you know what to look for!! Honestly though, it doesn't bug me so much in real life...mainly when taking these pics.
