Mini Review: YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch and Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight

I've FINALLY tried these 2 products...can I have my Official Beauty Blogger badge now?!! :-)

These 2 products seem to be reviewed all the time, so I'll try to keep things super quick and simple...

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in 1.5, $40 @ SephoraNordstromyslbeautyus.com

Not in love, lust or anything even remotely close. The texture is really nice...glides on very smoothly, and it does brighten without being overly shimmery or sparkly. I don't use undereye concealer on a regular basis - okay who am I kidding...I never wear it. But I did want to find something for those rare occasions when I've gone multiple nights in a row with 3 hours of sleep and feel my face needs a pick me up.

It creases on me, and within a few hours it seems to lose it's effect to the point where I wonder why I put it on in the first place. Eh, not exactly what I was expecting!! I'll finish this up just to finish it, but I won't be repurchasing.

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight (all photos taken in natural window light on an overcast day so they may look little darker than in real life), $42 @ beauty.comNordstromdermstore.comBarneys

This does seem to give the most naturally glowing and highlighting effect out of any similar products I've tried to date. I wouldn't even call it a soft satin finish...it really is like candlelight!! I've been applying it over my forehead and entire cheek area (down to the jawbone) after foundation. No matter what foundation (or none!) I use, this gives it an extra kick and leaves my skin with a beautiful finish.

I've tried using this as an allover eye color as some reviews have suggested, but it's a little too light for my liking. I'm not crazy about the brush and space it takes up - I'd much rather have a smaller compact and no brush. Beyond that I do really like the packaging...it's very sleek and thin. I'm thinking this will definitely be a repurchase!!
