Fragrance-free. Preservative-free. Paraben-free. For combination to oily skin that seems to be intolerant of and sensitive to most cleansers. Oh - and only 10 ingredients! Sounds like a great start!!
...and indeed, I did start off impressed! The amount shown on my finger above is about double what you need, so this over 4oz tube will last you many months even using it twice a day. This lathers up more than anything I've used, and is a creamy foam as opposed to a fluffy/airy foam. I was able to use this around my eyes without irritation, a definite plus!
I usually pre-cleanse with mineral oil and remove it with a warm, damp cloth...then I follow up with regular cleanser. I've been on the hunt for a cleanser that will not only remove the mineral oil residue, but also cut through the normal oil on my nose and chin area. This seemed to do both, without making my already dry forehead and cheeks even drier.
All that said...take this review with a grain of salt because I only could stand to use this cleanser twice. Ugh. It left the weirdest, awful feeling film on my skin. I read a few reviews mentioning this film, but I chose to try it anyway because there were a ton of other reviews from people who really seemed to like what it did for their skin. Plus, how bad could it be??
The film had the sensation of when you run your fingers over a picture colored with crayon, but imagine it slightly more tacky feeling. I couldn't even get it off with any of the three toners I have and ended up having to cleanse with something else to get that dang film off.
