Color Story

Maggie and I met for lunch yesterday at Noodles, one of our favorite places to eat!! I think we always order the same thing...but it's SO delicious! Ha ha!

She's on a wardrobe revamp - cleaned up, purged and now on a mission to bring more color, layers and accessories to her life. You can check out her details here:

I'm really excited!! I love seeing everything she's doing and the awesome outfits she has put together. I also have fun helping and bouncing ideas off each other.

Back to yesterday - I wanted to post her OOTD (Outfit of the Day, for the non-MakeupAlley'ers) because I thought it was such a great showing of color, especially for someone who didn't wear much color before. Yay, Maggie!!

Here's a tiny Sephora haul I did before lunch...

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, YSL Glossy Stain #4

Yeah, another foundation - LOL! I *think* the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 might be breaking me out or causing irritation so I'm going to stop using it for a week or two and then try again. In the meantime, I need to use something. I loved the finish of the HD foundation and it never caused breakouts on my cheeks where I mainly use foundation. It might have contributed to breakouts on my chin, but I'm not completely sure and think I was more looking for an excuse to try something new. I guess we shall see!!

I'm very excited about the YSL Glossy Stain. I first saw it on Lisa Eldridge's site and since then have heard really great things about it on blogs and MakeupAlley. The associate at Nordstrom said it has the same type of coating as aspirin which helps give it great staying power and glossiness. She also said it's very moisturizing. She was wearing one of the colors and had been wearing it since 7 a.m. It was well into the afternoon when I saw her and it looked like she had just applied it. Maybe she did just apply it, maybe she didn't...it was a good story anyway - Ha ha ha!!! :-)
