I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

2015 Makeup Favorites

2 of these products were late year discoveries (December to be exact!) and I haven't talked about them yet. But they were so good and I've been using them so much that I felt they really deserved a home on the year-end favorites list!

Tom Ford Cheek Color in Frantic Pink - Review HERE. I've gotten quite a lot of use out of this blush, and I dare say it's one of my most used blushes for the year. It's just such an easy color to wear - matches with many different lip colors, blends effortlessly and adds a touch of luminosity without being too much. It also really perks up my mood - and skin! - whenever I wear it.

Burberry Wet & Glow Eyeshadow in 002 Nude - Review HERE. While I've mostly sworn off eye makeup in lieu of a glowy, natural looking lid space, if I do wear shadow it's usually this one. The color suits my skin tone perfectly...gives just the right amount of oomph without being too much and without making me look tired by the end of the day. And I love that it has a nice amount of, oh, you know...that 'grown up' shimmer :-)

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Ash - Mentioned HERE. Ok, admittedly probably a large part of why I love this pencil is because I'm actually using the right color now (not too warm unlike the Kevyn Aucoin pencil I was using before)! So the color is great, but I also love the thicker pencil - it's much quicker, but I can also turn it this way or that to create thinner strokes if I need to. Love that it has the spoolie on one end! The consistency is really nice too...not too hard, but also not so soft that it builds up and gets cakey.

Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme in Tahini - I bought this on recommendation from Tiffany because she loves it too!! She's slightly darker than I am, but we both have Tahini. I tried Banana but that was too light (almost worked for undereye area, but it made them look a little too fake-ly brightened). This is everything I was missing about the Laura Mercier Secret Camo - sometimes that one is a little too dry and it tends to gather in lines and crevices as the day wears on. The Becca is creamy enough (and very pigmented!) to where it blends in really nicely...I find the best technique (for blemishes and redness anyway) is to gently pat and then really press it into the skin...lightly powder and repeat if necessary but in very thin layers. It also wears much better throughout the day. I still get a tiny bit of movement, but not nearly as much as with the Laura Mercier and not nearly as much around my oily bits. And a little goes a long way!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal - This is part of the mini set, which included a mini of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal, that was on sale during the Holidays. I didn't care for the color of the SSP Pressed in Opal, but the liquid I absolutely LOVE!!. I've been using it on the upper part of my cheekbones and on my lids, then topping it off with the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01...seriously perfect combo for that subtle, natural looking highlight. It suits my skin tone perfectly and I've been wearing it everyday since I opened it! And I love the wand on this mini version - hoping I can find another mini when it comes time to replace it!

Have you tried any of these products? What were your makeup favorites for 2015??
