Review: Murad Acne Treatment Concealer

Murad Acne Treatment Concealer, $21 @ Sephoramurad.comdermstore.comULTAskinstore.combeauty.com

This will be a fairly quick review because I don't think this a remarkable product one way or the other. Don't get me wrong...I've actually been using this for a few years, simply because it is difficult to find a good dual purpose concealer that will also help heal your acne or random spots. It contains 2% salicylic acid as the treatment.

I use the Medium color, which is a pretty decent color match for my skin tone. In the above picture, the bottom half is blended out. The colors are Light, Medium, Medium-Dark and Dark. Not all the sites or stores have every color, so do be sure to check the other sites if you don't see what you want.

Why I like this product and continue to use it? Helps heal spots, decent color match, doesn't break me out, doesn't dry me out and is a good quick fix when I'm just running errands for the day and don't want a full face of makeup. I'll even use it around the corners of my nose to cover the little redness I have there. I usually pat and blend it in with my fingertips.

What don't I like about the product? It does not have good staying power!! If you are anyone that has lived with acne and/or persistent spots the last thing you want to do is reapply your concealer during the day. It just never quite looks the same as it did when first applied and for me at least, it ends up looking cakey and more noticeable when you apply additional product. For drier areas such as my cheeks and forehead this will last a good chunk of the day. But for my oilier areas such as my nose and chin this only lasts a few hours.

I keep buying this product because it's small and doesn't take up any space. It's also convenient for a quickie cover-up. BUT if anyone out there knows of a fabulous treatment concealer product you love please let me know! I've tried a few but they all were not great.
