Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro

I wanted to try the original Deborah Lippman Gel Lab set, but it didn't get great reviews. The Gel Lap Pro set claims to be an updated and improved version of the original, so I was eager to try it. Since I didn't try the original set, I'm not sure if this Pro one is actually an improvement. However, as a stand alone I don't think it's that great.

My first complaint is that it doesn't give that plump, cushion-y, gel like finish, and if I have any mistakes or my polish is uneven the top coat doesn't cover any of that up. Even my Nails Inc 45 Sec Top Coat provides a more glossy finish and manages to help hide mistakes.

Second complaint: I had teeny tiny chips and tip wear after 3 days the first time, and after 4 days the second time. The only upside I found was that it did dry quickly! But overall, I don't think it's worth it.

Rahua Finishing Treatment

SpaceNK was running a GWP where I received a full sized Rahua Finishing Treatment with a minimum purchase. The hair treatment generally has pretty good reviews, and with the full size being $45 I thought that was a good deal!

The Finishing Treatment is supposed to repair, protect, nourish and strengthen your hair, as well as provide weightless shine. There is a learning curve to this product - less is more, otherwise it weighs down my hair and actually feels dirty. But, with the right amount it make my hair so darn soft!!! And when I use it I don't need a separate finishing oil (I love the Aveda Dry Remedy Oil) or heat protectant.

I apply the Finishing Treatment to wet hair and then blow dry. Afterwards, my hair feels bouncy and healthy! I can also apply it to damp hair and let it air dry - normally my hair ends up frizzy and a little poofy, but with the Finishing Treatment the frizz & poof are gone. I'm really happy with this discovery!

R+Co One Prep Spray

This is meant to be a primer treatment for your hair that 'evens out the porosity in your hair so that products adhere evenly'. Or if you cut hair, it's meant to give your hair more slip so it's easier to cut. Oh, and it can refresh your hair!

It didn't work for me. Used alone it felt fine, but didn't seem to do anything. Combined with other product it made my hair feel heavy and a little dirty. I couldn't go more than 2 days without it looking like it should be washed. As a refresher...not so much.

R+Co Jackpot Styling Creme

This I actually quite like! It tames flyaways, adds a tiny bit of texture, has a little bit of hold - all without feeling heavy or sticky. it's been a great little product to have in the arsenal!

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
