Powder Mini Reviews: Guerlain Meteorites In 03 Medium, and Dior Diorskin Nude Air Healthy Glow Invisible Powder In 020 Light Beige
I was really excited when I read that Guerlain was reformulating the pressed meteorites, mainly because the promo pics showed a pressed powder with multiple colors vs. the single color of the old pressed meteorites. I was hoping the new Meteorites Compact might be close in finish to Wulong.

Guerlain Meteorites Compact in 03 Medium, $62/.35oz
Even though it's plastic, I do like the packaging! It looks nice & is also slim enough to travel with.
UPDATED THOUGHTS, HERE.
I'll say off the bat, unless you are a die hard Guerlain fan, I think this is easily a pass...at least in this 03 Medium color. Why?? Because I think it's much better suited as a highlighter rather than a finishing (or other) powder...and even then, if not applied with a very light hand it can end up looking slightly frosty. Sara was spot on!!!
I've kept this mainly because I can't get enough of the Guerlain fragrance & it makes me smile everytime I open the compact!! Lol!!
This is compared to Wulong (right). Though not the exact same color profile, with the pink & lavender I thought it would be good and camouflaging some redness. Not so much.
Honestly, I still don't understand where the frost comes from??? But it is there!! I mean, from the side it looks like Wulong would have more shimmer & stuff but that translates into a beautiful glow with a hint of random sparkle that's so flattering. The new Meteorires compact isn't close. In all fairness, in some light the frostiness isn't as noticeable, but who wants to always wonder about which light will be ok?
Dior Diorskin Nude Air Healthy Glow Invisible Powder in 020 Light Beige, $54/.32oz
I've hardly used any other powder since trying this on for the first time...love this stuff!! Comes in a plastic case, but like the Guerlain powder above, it's still pretty to look at and has a slim profile that makes it a great travel compact or to put in your purse. Plus, it comes with a cute mini kabuki brush that you can actually use!
I love the raised logo and detail!!
The finish on this is very similar to Chanel Les Beiges...somehow it gives me a natural radiance (though slightly less so than Les Beiges) without any shimmer. Looks naturally matte in all the right places (t-zone), yet adds that extra something special everywhere else!! If you are in the market for a new pressed powder, this one is worth checking out...
I'm really curious to see how this would perform when worn with the accompanying new Dior Nude Air Serum foundation - has anyone tried that combo??
